the bean zine is our homage to an international staple and comfort food. the bean zine is about acknowledging what has been integral but hasn’t necessarily been recognized as such. with recipes and stories from Europe, South America, North America and Asia, our contributors explore how beans, in all their varieties and forms, have strong cultural and familial ties, bring family members (back) to life, inspire creativity and provide comfort.
